About Us

Firstly my apologies, the title is a little misleading, "About Us" should probably read "About Me"

My name is Sean Riley, I'm a small business operator, husband and web designer with a passion for giving it to larger companies that waste my time.

The idea for iHateHolding came to me during one the many moments of frustration-during-phone-prompt-navigation that myself, and no doubt countless others have painfully endured over the years. I'm usually a patient guy, but this sort of crud makes my blood boil.

iHateHolding.com is a free, user edited web site that anyone can edit and add to at any time, without restriction. It allows users to add shortcuts to phone numbers that will allow the caller to speak with a real person quicker and easier than listening to countless prompts.

I have no trouble trusting the general public on the internet as I believe that if you give people a chance to be good, they will be. My hope for the future of this web site is that people will treat it with much the same respect as the successful wikipedia and even use it as their personal telephone book.

Please also bear in mind that ihateholding.com is a constant work in progress. If you think I can make it better in any way, please let me know. Help from anyone out there will always be appreciated.
